Honeymoon safaris in Tanzania

Tanzania is one of the world’s premium destinations for honeymoons. With incomparable safari and beautiful lodges in every park we deal with, Tanzania’s coastline on Zanzibar and its surrounding islands combine to create the perfect safari and beach destination. Whether you travel North to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, or choose to travel to the quieter parks in Southern or Western Tanzania there are honeymoons to be designed for all kinds of budgets and styles.

The ‘classic’ African honeymoon is a luxurious safari followed by a romantic beach break – for which Tanzania is the obvious choice. A few nights at Lake Duluti Lodge could help you to unwind when you arrive, and whilst most of the camps in the Serengeti National Park cater very well for honeymooners, Bilila Lodge Kempinski and Mbalageti Serengeti deserve special mention. For the adventurous, a night fly-camping for can be ruggedly romantic.

For a safari honeymoon in more legendary (and busier) parks, visit northern Tanzania. Include Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, with its particularly good in-room spa treatments, and for a real treat Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is one of Africa’s most spectacular lodges. It’s very costly, but you get a stupendous location, fabulously theatrical décor, great food and service, and opulent bubble baths! In the Serengeti, for a honeymoon seek out the romance of a remote tented safari camp.
