Day 2 :Tarangire National Park

Tanzania Budget Camping Safari   breakfast at your lodge, with picnic lunch drive to Tarangire National Park game drive at the Park evening back to the Camp for hot shower dinner and overnight. he fierce sun sucks the moisture from the landscape, baking the earth a dusty red, the withered grass as brittle as straw. The Tarangire River has shrivelled to a shadow of its wet season self. But it is choked with wildlife. Thirsty nomads have wandered hundreds of parched kilometres knowing that here, always, there is water.

Herds of up to 300 elephants scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland crowd the shrinking lagoons. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem – a smorgasbord for predators – and the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly observed.

Days 3-4:  Serengeti National Park
Tanzania Budget Camping Safari   enter the plains of the Serengeti, home to large herds of zebras and the iconic Big Five. Spot as many animals as possible on a game drive, then drift to sleep amid the calls of nocturnal birds. At dawn, an optional balloon ride over the park offers a chance to watch the animals of the African savanna from above – an unforgettable experience well worth splashing out for.

Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.

Day 5 : Ngorongoro Crater
Tanzania Budget Camping Safari   is it the fascinating Olduvai Gorge, the ‘Cradle of Mankind’, where some of the world’s oldest humanoid skeletons were discovered. Set up camp on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, overlooking jagged volcanic peaks and rolling  grasslands.

The jewel in  Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest un flooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. Oldupai Gorge (originally misnamed Olduvai) is the most famous archaeological location in East Africa, and has become an essential visit for travelers to Ngorongoro or Serengeti. At Laetoli, west of Ngorongoro Crater, hominid footprints are preserved in volcanic rock 3.6 millions years old and represent some of the earliest signs of mankind in the world. Three separate tracks of a small-brained upright walking early hominid. Australopithecus afarensis, a creature about 1.2 to 1.4 meters high, were found. Imprints of these are displayed in the Oldupai museum.
